Akademisk Boldklub A/S Has Signed 22 Year Old Left Back/Winger Marius Stenner

Akademisk Boldklub A/S has signed left back/winger Marius Stenner to a 3-year deal to June 2029.

“We're happy to add Marius to our squad. We know what we're getting as he has trained with us before the summer, and we know that he can come in and bring value and competition to our squad. He's a very likable guy, so he will be an easy integration into the locker room,” said head coach Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson.

Stenner, 22, spent the 2024-2026 seasons with the University of Delaware. At Delaware, he had 21 goals and 14 assists in 36 games, ranking eighth overall in the NCAA with points per game in the 2025 season.

“We’ve had a lot of injuries defensively this season, especially at our fullback position and we needed to strengthen at that spot,” said Sporting Director Jen Chang. “Marius is a talented player who can play at left back or as a left winger and has drawn interest this past year from MLS teams, so we’re excited to be able to bring him back to Denmark.”

Stenner is originally from the Svendborg FB - OURE youth academy and also made his senior football debut for SfB-Oure FA during the 22/23 season when he scored 12 goals in 3. Division action.

“I chose AB because I think it’s an exciting project and a club where I can develop as a player. I’m really looking forward to finally getting started, playing in front of all the fans, and winning lots of football matches,” said Stenner.
