Akademisk Boldklub A/S has signed center back Adrien Koudelka to a new contract, extending his deal by one year until June 2028. Koudelka, 24, joined AB in January 2023 from SGV Freiburg.
“Adrien has been one of the foundations of our defense since he joined AB.” said Head Coach Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson. “He has incredible character and rare athleticism for a center back and it’s fantastic that we were able to agree to an extension with him.”
During the 25/26 season, Koudelka appeared in 30 league games for the club, recording 4 goals and 1 assist.
“Adrien was the first international player we recruited when we started here at AB,” said sporting director Jen Chang. “He was the first to believe in the project and so he will always have a special place in AB’s history. We’re happy that he has chosen to continue his story with us.”
Since joining AB, Koudelka has appeared in 100 league games for the club, recording 8 goals and 2 assists. He is also a former Germany youth national team player who made 13 appearances for the German U17 national team.
"I'm really happy that our journey together is continuing. I truly feel at home at the club, and I'm convinced we still have a lot we can achieve together. I'm looking forward to continuing the work and giving everything I have for the team and the club," said Koudelka.
