Tomorrow, Maundy Thursday, April 2, 2026, AB Gladsaxe will once again make the trip to North Jutland. This time, Skive awaits by the waters of the Limfjord.
Skive IK host AB at Hancock Arena, which—if you have the chance to stop by—is located at Engvej 17.
Referee Mikkel Thomsen will kick off the match at 2:00 PM, with assistant referees Aidin Esmaeli and Niels Heer on the touchlines.
The first match between the two teams in October 2025 ended in a 4–0 win for AB at Gladsaxe Stadium.
Within the first 15 minutes, Jonathan Mathys scored the opening goal and Marcus Immersen scored twice to put AB 3–0 up. Adrien Koudelka scored the fourth goal.
A completely different and tight match awaits on Maundy Thursday. Skive IF lost their most recent match narrowly, 1–0 away to Thisted FC. The match before that, Skive IK drew 0–0 at home at Hancock Arena against Næstved. Skive are 9th in the CamboBet 2nd Division, while AB still sit in 1st place.
AB go into the match on the back of a 2–0 win over FC Roskilde. It’s clear that a better performance is needed to bring points home from Skive.
AB will be without Tobias Damtoft due to suspension. Back in the squad is Marco Vesterholm, who has served his suspension and is therefore ready to face his former teammates. After a long injury layoff, Noah Maale is finally back in the squad.
The following players are on the bus to Skive:
1. Marcus Bobjerg (goalkeeper)
4. Adrien Koudelka
5. Marc Dal Hende
7. Noah Engell
9. Emil Mygind Jensen
10. Marco Ramkilde
11. Casper Grening
15. Søren Ilsøe
18. Milan Silva Rasmussen
19. Jonathan Mathys
20. Marcus Immersen
21. Travian Sousa
22. Marco Vesterholm
28. Tobias Lykkebak
30. Alfred Horup
34. Mikkel Brund
37. Frederik Lindgaard
41. Tobias Hageltorn
43. Noah Ibsen
45. Noah Maale
54. Adam Ingi Benediktsson (goalkeeper)
88. O’Vonte Mullings
Tobias Hageltorn says the players will fight as hard as they can: “We’re expecting a tough match against Skive. They’re a team with height and great physicality. We expect them to bring a lot of power and be ready from the start. They know what we’re bringing. Skive have a lot to play for in terms of avoiding relegation trouble. So they’ll be 100% ready tomorrow—and so will we!”
The latest match against Roskilde was a real battle, and we should probably expect something similar against Skive. Their pitch isn’t the best either, so we’re not expecting the prettiest football, but of course we’ll do our best as always. We were really happy with the win against Roskilde, because it was a different kind of win compared to the other wins. We’re really pleased that we can also get those kinds of wins where we have to fight and give everything we’ve got—and we’ll take that with us,” Tobias Hageltorn concludes.
Head coach Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson believes it will be a good football match: “We’ve reviewed the last game, and there were many things we were happy with. Of course, there were also things we can improve. We should have kept the ball better, we lost far too many duels—both one-on-one and in our passing. In the second half, we often lost the ball and ended up sitting too deep. We’re obviously not happy about that, but overall it was a good match on a poor pitch.
I’ve watched Skive’s last two home games, and it’s not a great pitch we’ll be playing on. It’s a different pitch from the one we played on in Thisted—it was quite soft. We’re aware of that, so we have to play as best we can on the pitch. We want to be brave on the ball and fight like we did on Friday,” Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson concludes.
