Akademisk Boldklub A/S has signed central defender William Warrer. The 19-year-old Warrer has signed a three-year deal that runs until June 2029.
“I am pleased with the addition of William, who is another exciting young talent, from a good environment. We look forward to working with him and helping him build even more. He fits in well with the way we want to play, and his young age gives him time to get to know our philosophy,” says head coach Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson.
Warrer played for Kolding IF’s U19 team from 2024 to 2026, where he reached 53 games and scored two goals. He was originally developed in Randers FC’s youth academy before moving to Kolding in 2024.
“William is an exciting defender with great potential and we believe he is ready to step up in senior football,” says sporting director Jen Chang. “He is an aggressive and athletic central defender who is strong in the defensive duels. It will be exciting to follow his development with us.”
“I am super happy to have signed with AB, AB is a great club with a great history and a club that wants to play football with lots of power, which suits me very well,” says Warrer. “I am happy that AB sees great potential in me, and I look forward to learning from some great profiles with lots of experience from the top level.”
