Tomorrow, Friday 1 May 2026, AB Gladsaxe head to the cathedral city of Roskilde, where FC Roskilde host the match at Roskilde Idrætspark, Rådmandsvej 10.
It’s the fourth match in the promotion round, where a total of 10 games will be played. The final match will be played on Saturday 6 June.
Match referee Jacob Stausgaard Kobberrød will kick off the exciting encounter at 7:00 PM.
Jacob won’t be handling it alone, as he’ll have assistant referees Simon Fenger Jensen and Søren Stagaard to help him.
FC Roskilde sit 5th in the CampoBet Liga with 37 points. They lost their most recent match at home to Thisted FC 1–0.
AB usually find it really tough against FC Roskilde. In the first match of the regular season in September 2025, AB were sent home from Roskilde Idrætspark with a painful 4–1 defeat. AB’s only goal was scored by O´Vonte Mullings.
In the second match of the regular season at the end of March 2026, AB won 2–0 at Gladsaxe Stadion with two great counter-attacking goals from Casper Grening and Tobias Hageltorn.
It was a match where FC Roskilde had the vast majority of the play. From the start, AB were pushed back into their own half, and AB struggled to apply pressure themselves.
So everything is set for a tight and exciting match against FC Roskilde, with AB coming into the game full of confidence after a brilliant 3–0 win over another top side, Næstved, at Gladsaxe Stadion. It was three really fine goals, with Jonathan Mathys scoring the first two and Milan Silva Rasmussen getting the third. The goals came within the first 20 minutes.
The AB players will of course do everything they can to bring the three points back to Gladsaxe and stay at the top, where AB hold first place with 56 points in the CampoBet Liga promotion round.
The coaching staff have selected the following squad for the match
1. Marcus Bobjerg (goalkeeper)

O’Vonte Mullings feels the team are in a good place: “We’ve prepared over the last week the way we always prepare before a match. We’re ready to fight, and we want to win, but we also want to put in a good performance and play a good game for our fans.
We’re focused on the present and on keeping our focus on the match in front of us. We can’t do anything about what’s behind us, so we shouldn’t worry about it. We have a new chance to deliver a good performance and earn 3 points along the way.
The team are in good shape and well prepared for the matches. We’re getting closer and closer as a squad as the season goes on. It’s an exciting time for us, and it’s important that we’re doing well together. We love what we do, and we do it for each other. When you have that to build on, only positive things can come from it,” O’Vonte Mullings concludes.
Head coach Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson says they need energy from the start: “Roskilde are a good team, and we’ve had difficulties with them before. It’s definitely not an easy match we’re going to play. They have a lot of talent in the squad, but they’ve been going through a not-so-good spell lately. So I expect them to come out aggressive and full of energy—and we have to be able to handle that and match it.
We need to bring the same power and intensity we showed in the last match against Næstved if we’re going to break Roskilde down.
When you’ve been successful for a long time, sometimes you can forget how you got to where we are now and what it was that created good results. That hurt us a bit when we played Vendsyssel, because we didn’t put all our energy and commitment into the match.
I’m 100% sure that won’t happen again. I’m completely convinced the players will match the energy we need to win the match against Roskilde,” Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson concludes.
