In Sundby, the final tournament preparations must be fine-tuned

Tomorrow, Saturday 22 February 2025, AB Gladsaxe will make the trip to Amager and Kløvermarken, where Sundby Boldklub will receive. The match will start at 12.00 at Kløvermarkens Idrætsanlæg, Raffinaderivej 3. Lastweek’s unfortunate cancellation of the training match against FA 2000 happened because too much snow had fallen on Frederiksberg. It was not possible to set up a new training match this weekend due to snow and cold, so now everyone must cross their fingers that tomorrow’s training match can be carried out as planned. Sundby Boldklub overwinters on a 7. place in the 3rd division just outside the top 6, just like AB does in the 2nd division.

In Sundby Boldklub’s last friendly match, there was a 4-2 defeat to FC Gladsaxe (formerly Værebro Boldklub) despite two goals by Elias Eriksen, and there have also been victories over Frem and HIK. The training match between FC Gladsaxe and Sundby Boldklub was played on AB’s artificial turf pitch at Skovdiget.

AB last played a friendly match in Næstved and went home with the fine result 3-1 against Næstved BK.

At the end of the start, they will now be a clearer picture of how the cards will be shuffled for the spring season’s matches.

It’s great that everyone is in good shape and injury-free,” says head coach Joey Gudjonsson. “We now have two games left – Saturday against Sundby and Monday against Brøndby – and it gives us the opportunity to give the players more minutes. We have had a long preparation with a lot of physical training, but the players have also been involved in the tactical and technical preparations with and without the ball.
