AB Gladsaxe host Kolding IF tomorrow, Saturday, 24 October, at Gladsaxe Stadium. Kick-off is at 14:00.
Every team has now faced each other once, and the league has reached the halfway point after 11 matches. The teams will meet each other one more time before the regular season concludes, with AB playing their final match on 19 March 2027 against Hobro IK.
AB and Kolding IF have therefore met once already this season, on Saturday, 29 August 2026, at Autocentralen Park, where AB suffered a 2–1 defeat.
AB have won their last three matches, most recently securing a 3–2 away victory over HB Køge. The team will therefore be aiming for a fourth consecutive win, while remaining aware that a close and evenly matched contest awaits, particularly given the previous meeting in August, when AB suffered their first defeat.
AB currently sit in an impressive fourth place in the table with 15 points.
Kolding IF arrive in Gladsaxe full of confidence after beating Vendsyssel FF 2–1 in their most recent match. Kolding IF sit eighth in the table with 12 points.
Frida Klarlund will take charge as referee, assisted by Morten Andersen and Shpend Shala on the touchlines. Svend Funder will serve as the fourth official.
Gabriel Noga said after today's training session that everyone is well prepared for the match:
“Last time, we lost 2–1 against Kolding away from home. I think tomorrow’s match will be different because we have come a long way as a squad. Everyone is in really good shape and has the right mentality. We have more confidence, so it will be a completely different game. It will be a difficult match, and it is very important to us.
We have trained well all week in preparation for tomorrow’s game. Everyone is happy and working hard, so we are well prepared. It is important that everyone stays focused and trains hard—and that is exactly what we have done.
When we last played Kolding, I was new to the club. I had arrived in a completely new country with a different culture. Now I have settled in more, and I love it here because it feels safe and comfortable. There are fantastic people here, especially at AB. All the players and staff help me, so I am really happy to be here. Not many people speak English in Brazil, so the language can sometimes be a little difficult, but I will get there,” Noga concludes.
Head coach Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson said after today's training session that the team must secure all three points:
“Now we are starting the second half of the season, and we have gained a lot of experience along the way. We were facing a new and more challenging division with many new teams, so at the beginning of the season we didn't have the same experience we have now. As a result, we dropped points we shouldn't have dropped. We were punished heavily in those matches, but the players have learned a great deal from those games and from the work we've done since. Today, they can see that they are capable of competing with the teams in the Danish First Division. We are constantly developing, both individually and as a group, and I think we are in a really good place right now.
When we last played Kolding, we had a really poor first half and conceded some silly goals. I thought we played well in the second half, but we fell just short. As I told the players after the match, it is difficult to win a game if you only play well for 45 minutes.
The match against Kolding is the most important game of the season, because the next game is always the most important one. We need those three points to achieve what we set out to do. So this match is very important, and we will focus on the upcoming games when they come.
That is also why we haven't talked much about the Brøndby match since the draw paired us with them. I think our squad has developed as it should, and the players will maintain 100% focus on the match against Kolding. Of course, I can't see inside their heads, but I know this squad so well that I would be very surprised if anyone wasn't focused on Kolding. The players know how important this match is for us, both as a team and as a club,” Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson concludes.
