AB Gladsaxe will play its final preseason matches tomorrow, Saturday, July 18, 2026, against Brønshøj BK and B93.

The first match kicks off at 1:00 PM at Tingbjerg Idrætspark against Brønshøj BK, followed by a 4:00 PM kickoff against B93 at Skovdiget.

With two matches scheduled, the entire AB squad will have the opportunity to gain valuable match fitness, with several U19 players also expected to feature.

The meeting between AB and Brønshøj—known as the “Mose Derby”—is one of Denmark’s most historic local rivalries. The two clubs are separated by such a short distance that, as the saying goes, if you stand on your tiptoes, you can almost see Gladsaxe Stadion from Tingbjerg Idrætspark. These matches have a special atmosphere, featuring passionate football on the pitch and strong support from fans of both clubs.

The fixture against B93 is equally steeped in tradition and is often referred to as a “Copenhagen Derby.”

Brønshøj BK finished fourth in the CampoBet 3rd Division last season.

B93, meanwhile, were relegated from the Betinia Liga after a tightly contested relegation battle and will compete in the CampoBet 2nd Division this season. However, the club appears determined to make an immediate return to the Betinia Liga. B93 has retained much of its organizational structure and strengthened the squad with the signing of Patrick Olsen from AC Horsens.

Following Friday’s training session, Head Coach Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson said:

We’re incredibly excited for our first match back in the 1st Division, and we’re really looking forward to it.”

“It’s going to be a good day. The players are ready, and everyone will get minutes. We’ll use these matches to evaluate where the squad is physically, so those who are ready will play the full 90 minutes. We’ll field two different teams, but both will play in accordance with our style of play.

Brønshøj and B93 compete in different divisions, but both teams want to play football, just like we do. Both clubs typically play in a 4-2-3-1 formation, which is similar to what we’ll face against teams like Vejle.

We’re now just one week away from the start of the season, and we’re very comfortable with where we are and how we’re playing at this point. We’ve had an excellent week of training, continuously working on the areas we want to improve. Our squad is ready for next Friday’s opener against Vejle, and next week we’ll put the finishing touches on our preparations.
