Akademisk Boldklub A/S has signed fullback/winger Frederik Lindgaard to a 2 year contract extension to June 2029.

“I’m delighted that Freddy has extended his contract with us so we can continue building on both his development and the progress we’ve made as a team. He’s a fantastic presence in our dressing room and always brings positive energy,” said Head Coach Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson.

Lindgaard, 21, made 22 league appearances for the club during the 25/26 season at right back and recorded 1 goal and 3 assists.

“Frederik is an ascending player who continues to improve every year and he gives us great energy as either a fullback or a winger,” said Sporting Director Jen Chang. “He’s a very hard worker who embodies the mentality and culture we have in our squad and the locker room.”

Lindgaard is a product of the AB youth academy where he made 59 appearances and scored 21 goals. 

“I’m very happy to extend my contract with AB. I really enjoy being at the club and feel it’s the perfect place for me to continue developing, both as a player and as a person. We’ve built something special together, and I’m excited to keep building on it,” said Lindgaard.
