After an exciting promotion campaign, t’s almost time for football to return. There will now be some training matches leading up to the start of the season in the Betinia League on Friday 24 July 2026 in Vejle.


AB Gladsaxe will play the first friendly match tomorrow, Friday 7 July 2026 at 18:00 at Skovdiget, pitch 5 and the opponent is FC Roskilde.

These are two teams that know each other very well. In the just concluded season, they faced each other in four games, and that gave two wins to each team.
It is the first training match for both teams, so we will probably see many players in action after the short training start, which for AB started on July 2. There is a good opportunity to see the new players in action, and also to see the physical condition of the squad after a short summer break.


After Friday’s training, head coach Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson said: “I have thought about and worked on how we can be prepared in the best possible way so that we can get the best start to the 1st division. All the players have worked on their training plan, which they have brought with them on holiday. We have had a test where all the players achieved good results. They came back in much better shape than 6 months ago.
The players really seem to be ready for a new season, and we continue to train with the physical training and the more regular training. We push the players a little bit both mentally and physically, so we can always follow how the condition is, and I would say that the players do a fantastic job every day.
There will also be work to get the new players into our way of playing. The three players each add strong prerequisites to our squad in their own way. That’s what we’ve hoped for, but it will take time for them to understand how we play,” concludes Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson.
