Test match against Hørsholm-Usserød

On Saturday 19 July 2025, AB Gladsaxe will play its second friendly match when Hørsholm-Usserød visits Skovdiget. The match kicks off at 12:00.

Hørsholm-Usserød was promoted from the Denmark Series to CampoBet 3rd Division after the just concluded 2024/2025 season. It is the first time in Hørsholm-Usserød’s history that they can call themselves a division team.

Hørsholm-Usserød’s first training match as a division team took place on Thursday evening, where they met Næstved BK away from home. Hørsholm-Usserød lost the match 1-0.

On Saturday, Hørsholm-Usserød’s second training match awaits, when AB is on the opposite half of the field. AB will follow up on the first training match, where it was an impressive 7-1 victory over Sundby BK also from CampoBet 3rd division.

It will be interesting to see how the coaching staff shuffles the cards. It will also be interesting to see the continued work of integrating the new players into the playing style and system.

There are a few players who sit out due to minor injuries.

Head coach Joey Gudjonsson demands focus and speed from the start:

” We continue with the same approach to the match as we had in the last training match. We play four games in two weeks, so we rotate the seats and most of the players get 45 minutes of playing time.

In the last game against Sundby, we started a bit lazily, but we came after that. We want the same high intensity as there was in the match, but we have to be there from the start.

We give the new players time to get to know their new teammates, and we continue with our way of playing like last season. We look for improvements in even the smallest areas, and it is important for the physical structure that there is high intensity from start to finish.

It’s nice to have the four games in such a short time, then the new players will settle in faster, but we are also still looking to make the habit of winning stronger,” concludes Joey Gudjonsson.
