Akademisk Boldklub A/S Says Farewell to Defender Noah Ibsen
Akademisk Boldklub A/S has reached an agreement with Norwegian club Kristiansund BK for the transfer of defender Noah Ibsen.
Akademisk Boldklub A/S has reached an agreement with Norwegian club Kristiansund BK for the transfer of defender Noah Ibsen. The deal includes an undisclosed transfer fee as well as future considerations.
“Ibsen has been in the dressing room since we first arrived, and he has been an active part of the squad and contributed to where the team is today, so he will definitely be missed—not least for his good spirits. However, I’m very happy for him, because moving abroad is a big step and a great experience. I’ll be following him closely and hope he has great success in his career,” said Head Coach Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson.
Ibsen, 20, made 20 league appearances for AB in the 25/26 season. For his career at AB, he has appeared in 43 games.
“We’ve had a lot of conversations with Noah over the past year about playing time and the possibility of finding a new situation where he would have more opportunities,” said Sporting Director Jen Chang. “It’s an exciting new challenge for him and we thank him for his efforts last season and wish him the best with this fresh start.”
Ibsen started his youth career with the AB Academy before making his senior league debut for AB in May 2024 vs Nykobing. He made 35 appearances for the AB academy U19 team.
“My time at AB has meant everything to me. I’ve had some fantastic years. I would especially like to thank everyone around the club, my teammates, the coaches, and all the people I’ve shared everyday life with over the past six years. You have all helped make my time at AB something I will always remember.
And to the best fans in Denmark—thank you.
