AB EXTENDS CONTRACT WITH TOBIAS HAGELTORN

Akademisk Boldklub A/S has extended the contract with striker Tobias Hageltorn, who is now tied to the club until June 2029. Hageltorn, 20 years old, was promoted to AB’s first team squad in the fall of 2024 and made his debut for the first team on November 11, 2024 against Fremad Amager.

“I am incredibly happy that Spacey has chosen to commit long-term to what we are building. He is a fantastic example of the hard work that we preach, and his efforts are always appreciated. He has taken great steps over the past year in his first full senior season, and I am confident that we can help him develop even more in the coming years,” says head coach Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson.

Hageltorn has played 46 games for the club and is recorded for 8 goals and 6 assists. In the 2025/26 season he played 26 league games for AB, where he contributed 3 goals and 2 assists, while also getting games both as a central striker and on the wing.

“Tobias has continued to develop and improve year after year,” said athletic director Jen Chang. “He is a person of great character who always puts the team first and who with his intensity and work ethic pushes everyone around him – both in practice and in games.”

Hageltorn started his career in Brøndby’s youth academy before moving to AB’s U19 team in July 2023. He played 40 matches and scored 23 goals.

“I am very happy and proud to have extended my contract with AB for another 2 years. As an AB boy, it’s a pleasure to pull the shirt over my head and give everything I have for the club. We’ve had a good season, which we’re ready to build on after the summer. A huge thank you to the club for believing in me, to the boys on the team and to my parents, who sacrifice so much for my career,” says Hageltorn.
