Akademisk Boldklub A/S have extended full-back Tobias Damtoft’s contract by one year. The 24-year-old has therefore extended his deal with the club until June 2029.
“Damtoft has really shown how quickly he has adapted to our style of play, and he has been an important part of this year’s promotion. His ability to play both left-back and right-back gives us great flexibility, and his day-to-day development has really been visible on the pitch throughout the season. I’m sure Damme will only continue to develop his game, and I’m happy that we can continue the collaboration,” says head coach Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson.
Damtoft has started at both right-back and left-back during the 25/26 season and has played 23 league matches, with 1 goal and 3 assists.
“Tobias has been a key player in our back line and has shown strong attacking and defensive qualities,” says Sporting Director Jen Chang. “He still has great potential for development, and we’re excited that he has chosen to extend his time with us and continue as part of our project.”
Damtoft joined AB in July 2025 after several seasons at Holstebro Boldklub. He began his youth career in FC Midtjylland’s academy and has also played 9 matches for Denmark’s U17 national team as well as one match for Denmark’s U18 national team.
“I’m happy to have extended with AB. It’s a great project that I’m looking forward to continuing to be part of. The dressing room is really special, and it would be very hard to give that up. So I’m looking forward to us going all out in the 1st Division,” says Damtoft.
