Tomorrow, Friday 24 April 2026, AB Gladsaxe play their third match in the promotion round.
That happens when AB host Næstved at Gladsaxe Stadium, where match referee Frederikke Lydia Søkjær will blow the whistle to kick off at 19:00. Assisting her are Simon Fenger Jensen and Christian Just Brixen on the lines.
In the two matches in the regular season, AB beat Næstved 2-1 in September, with AB’s goals scored by Jonathan Mathys and Adrien Koudelka. AB dominated the match, and Næstved, who are a very strong side, were kept away from the big chances and shots. Næstved’s goal was scored by Aksel Emil Halsgaard.
In the other regular-season match, it was a 3-0 win at Gladsaxe Stadion, with O’Vonte Mullings and Noah Engell on the scoresheet, with Engell netting twice. Will it be another win against Næstved?
Næstved are in 2nd place in the promotion round with 45 points, and AB are still in 1st with 53 points and a truly fantastic goal difference of 61:24
In the first two matches of the promotion round, Næstved have lost 2–0 to Thisted FC and drawn 0–0 at home against FC Roskilde. AB have beaten HIK 5–1 and lost 2–0 at home to Vendsyssel FF.
It looks set to be an exciting, close match between AB and Næstved, who are among the contenders for the Betinia LIGA.

Travian Sousa says the focus is on the next match: “We’ve prepared every single day for the next match. We’re at that point in the season where every match is a final. We try to quickly put the last match behind us and focus on the next one. We were all angry after the last match, because we wished we’d done more for the team and for the club.
We mustn’t get stuck in the past, because we can’t change it, but of course we have to look at the things we could have done better – and we work hard on that every single day,” Travian Sousa concludes.
Head coach Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson says the players will do what it takes against Næstved: “We’ve prepared for a strong football team, which Næstved are. They play a certain style of football, and we have to neutralise that. We’ll look them in the eye and stay on their backs all the time. We won’t give them breaks, because when they have the ball, they can hurt any team.
During the week, we’ve reviewed the last match both within the coaching staff and with the players. We weren’t happy with our performance; we were too static and we simply didn’t have a good day. We didn’t put in a 100% effort in the match. They came and pressed us, and we thought we could turn it around. We underestimated their will to win. We have to be able to handle it, we have to be smart and we have to be ruthless. I believe my players will be there and do what it takes against Næstved,” Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson concludes.
