AB A/S have extended the contract of winger Casper Grening by two years, through June 2029.

“I’m really pleased that Casper has chosen to show his commitment to our project by extending his contract. Casper is an important figure in the dressing room, and he always delivers energetic performances on the pitch,” says head coach Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson.

The 25-year-old Grening originally joined AB in January 2025 and has been a key player in the club’s attack this season, with 6 goals and 2 assists in 19 matches.

“Casper is an important player in our attack, and he’s both dynamic and versatile,” says sporting director Jen Chang. “We have a talented group of players in the squad that we want to keep together and take the next steps with, and we’re very happy that he has chosen to commit his future to the club.”

Grening came through Roskilde’s youth academy and played for Roskilde from 2019 to 2021. He made his senior debut for Roskilde in August 2019 in the NordicBet Liga.

In the 2024 season, he played for the University of Pittsburgh, where he helped the Pittsburgh Panthers to a No. 7 ranking and a place in the Elite Eight of the American NCAA College Cup. He recorded 6 goals and 4 assists in 20 matches.

Since joining AB, Grening has delivered 14 goals and 6 assists in 35 matches.

“I’m really satisfied and happy to have extended my deal with AB. It’s been a great journey we’ve been on since I joined the club, where you can feel a hunger for more, and I definitely don’t think it’s over yet. We have big ambitions and we’re looking forward to showing all of Denmark what we can do in the 1st Division. On top of that, the support we get every single day is amazing to experience, and I’m looking forward to seeing you all at the stadium for even more unforgettable moments,” says Grening.
