AB Gladsaxe play Ish\u00f8j IF tomorrow, Saturday 21 March 2026 at 6:00 PM. Once again, the match will be played at \u201c1964 Park\u201d at Br\u00f8ndby Stadium, as Gladsaxe Stadium still hasn\u2019t fully recovered from the harsh, cold winter.

The first match of the season against Ish\u00f8j IF in August 2025 is one for the history books. The first 15 minutes were played at Ish\u00f8j Sports and Leisure Centre on 2 August, and the final 60 minutes were played at the same venue on 20 August.
For many AB fans, the start of that first match must have been the wettest AB game they\u2019ve ever experienced. The match kicked off in heavy rain and even ended with thunder and lightning.
On top of the thunder and lightning, the heavy rain had flooded the pitch, so the referee blew for full time and the scoreboard showed 0-0.
The continuation of the match on 20 August turned into a gripping, tight and evenly matched game, only decided in the 84th minute. Jonathan Mathys cut inside from the touchline and smashed the ball into the net to make it 1-0 to AB, which also proved to be the final score.

Ish\u00f8j IF haven\u2019t started the spring season particularly well and have lost their first two matches.
Most recently, they lost 1-0 at home to Fremad Amager. Ish\u00f8j IF sit 10th in the table, just one point above the relegation zone. So AB should expect a hard-fighting Ish\u00f8j IF side that will give everything to get points.

AB go into the match full of confidence after a strong performance in Thisted, where AB won 2-0 on a tough away ground and brought three important points back to Gladsaxe.
AB still top the CampoBet League 2nd Division with 42 points. N\u00e6stved are second with 36 points.
Marco Ramkilde is back in the extended squad after an injury spell. S\u00f8ren Ils\u00f8e is suspended. Ish\u00f8j IF have no suspensions.

The two teams will have Kasper Madsen as referee, with Gustav Qwist and Christian Ginderskov Hansen running the lines.

Casper Grening says the team are very adaptable<\/strong>: \u201cI\u2019m really looking forward to the Ish\u00f8j match, and so are all of us. We\u2019ve started the spring brilliantly with two solid wins, two clean sheets and 5-0 overall. We\u2019re looking to keep that momentum going. Most recently, we got a really good win against Thisted.
I think we\u2019re proving that we can score goals in many different ways. We score from corners, long throws, crosses and individual actions. We\u2019re brimming with confidence, and we\u2019re putting in the effort it takes to solve the task we\u2019re facing as a team.
Only two matches have been played, but I feel we want it more than our opponents. We\u2019ve got a great mentality.
We played on a top-class pitch in Br\u00f8ndby in the first match. We just needed to find each other, but then it clicked, and we got back to what we showed in the autumn and in the friendlies.
Last Sunday in Thisted was something completely different. A completely different task to solve. A much worse pitch and a team that plays in a very different way. So the fact that we can adapt like that, I think is really positive and says a lot about us as a team.\u201d

Now we\u2019ve got Ish\u00f8j, and it will be a different match again. A match I think we\u2019ll dominate. Ish\u00f8j are a good team that also want to play football, and we had some problems in the first match.

I\u2019d like a better experience than the last time we played Ish\u00f8j, when I got injured and was out for around three months \u2013 and of course I\u2019m also hoping for a win!\u201d Casper Grening concludes.

Head coach Fannar Berg Gunn\u00f3lfsson is looking forward to an entertaining match in dry weather<\/strong>: \u201cTomorrow we\u2019re playing in Br\u00f8ndby again, and I hope our fans will come and support us throughout the match, because I really think the players deserve it.
It will be a completely different match than against Thisted, and I\u2019m looking forward to a really entertaining game against Ish\u00f8j. The last time we played Ish\u00f8j, we almost played the match twice because of rain and thunderstorms. So tomorrow we\u2019ll be playing under completely different conditions.\u201d

Ish\u00f8j have changed coach and brought in some new players, and they now play 4-4-2 with a high press. It will be interesting to see how they approach the match. Of course, we\u2019ll press them and make life difficult for them on the pitch. We know what the new coach wants to do, and we know he also wants to play football, so I think it will be a really good football match,\u201d Fannar Berg Gunn\u00f3lfsson concludes.
