A fortnight ago, AB Gladsaxe won against Skive IK at home in Gladsaxe. On Sunday, AB repeated the feat at Hancock Arena in Skive. This time AB won 3-1 and AB’s goals were scored by Steven Simpson (6′), Mikkel Brund (66′) and Noah Engel (72′). The match was attended by 252 spectators. <\/span><\/p>\n

AB’s coaching staff had changed the starting line-up compared to the starting line-up most recently against N\u00e6stved.<\/span> Pachanga Kristensen had taken over the left-back position from Rasmus Brodersen, who took a seat on the bench. \u00c6gir Jarl Jonasson started at the very front, Agust Hlynsson moved down to midfield and Mikkel Brund took a place on the bench. <\/span><\/p>\n

AB’s starting line-up was Nicholas Christoffersen in goal, in central defence Noah Ibsen and Adrien Koudelka and on the right side of defence was Steven Simpson and on the left side Pachanga Kristensen. In the central midfield were S\u00f8ren Ils\u00f8e (C) and Agust Hlynsson. On the wings were O’Vonte Mullings and Casper Grening. At the top, \u00c6gir Jarl Jonassen and Noah Engell played. <\/span><\/p>\n

A lot of AB chances in the 1st half<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was clear from the start of the match that AB wanted to revenge the somewhat poor effort against N\u00e6stved. AB started hard and pushed Skive back on the field. <\/span><\/p>\n

Already after six minutes, Pachanga Kristensen was right in front and sent a ball inwards to the opposite side, where Steven Simpson received the ball in the box and consistently shot the ball towards goal, bringing AB ahead 1-0. <\/span><\/p>\n

AB was on the game, but Skive still got a dangerous attempt when they sent the ball in from the left side.<\/span> A Skive player came running into the box, but he just didn’t get a foot on the ball. Skive got another opportunity when a Skive free kick went into the AB wall and somewhat randomly went on to a Skive player who shot hard from the outside. Nicholas Christoffersen pulled a nice save out of his sleeve. <\/span><\/p>\n

AB took over more and more the game, which flowed with good combinations. Occasionally, the ball bounced around and gave duels. This was probably due to the fact that the pitch was uneven and difficult to play on. <\/span><\/p>\n

Skive were rare guests in front of AB’s goal, and therefore AB got more chances. Noah Engell took a long run up the field and played August Hlynsson. They played each other a couple of times and in the end August finished just around Skive’s goal. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c6gir also played the ball on with his head to a forward storming O’Vonte Mullings, but the finish whizzed just past Skive’s goal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two AB goals gave a preliminary top scorer title and a victory in the 2nd half<\/strong><\/p>\n

AB came out well for the 2nd half and already after a few minutes Noah Engell headed on to O’Vonte Mullings, who was blocked right in front of Skive’s goal. <\/span><\/p>\n

Skive came with more spirit and after 50 minutes a Skive player came through the AB defense. Just before he was about to finish close to AB’s goal, Pachanga Kristensen tackled fantastically and managed to avert the dangerous situation and send the ball to the corner. <\/span><\/p>\n

In the 55th minute, Skive sent a ball into the box from their right side and close to the goal, Skive’s Frederik Slot was free and equalized to 1-1. <\/span><\/p>\n

In the 62nd minute, AB changed four players. Rasmus Broderen replaced Pachanga Kristensen, Frederik Lindgaard replaced August Hlynsson, Tobias Hageltorn replaced Casper Grening and Mikkel Brund replaced \u00c6gir Jarl J\u00f3nasson. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

A few minutes later, Mikkel Brund threw one of his long throw-ins into Skive’s box, but Skive parried for a corner. On the ensuing corner kick, Mikkel Brund scored to make it 2-1. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Six minutes later, S\u00f8ren Ils\u00f8e finished with a hard long shot, which the goalkeeper parried. The ball ended up again in the hands of S\u00f8ren Ils\u00f8e, who sent a thunderous shot onto the crossbar. The riposte intercepted Noah Engel, who, after he had got the ball under control, knocked the ball into the goal in the roof of the net. The goal sent Noah Engel up to number one on the 2nd division top scorers list and AB at 3-1. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Noah Engel then sent a free kick into the box, where Adrien Koudelka came close to scoring at the back goalpost.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Shortly before time, Onesime Tembe came on the field and replaced Noah Engel. In the 90th minute, AB’s goalkeeper Nicholas Christoffersen delivered a really good save, and it all ended with a deserved victory for AB at 3-1. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>S\u00f8ren Ils\u00f8e: AB’s cynicism made the difference <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

– It was nice to get a win. I actually think we play like in the last games. The only difference today is that we are cynical today. But a little inattention means they get a goal. <\/span><\/p>\n

– I think we are significantly the best team over 90 minutes. We dominate, we play around and they are allowed to run a lot after the ball. We stick to our principles, so it was a good day. <\/span><\/p>\n

– The good thing about our squad is that everyone knows our style of play. Everyone is on board with what is going to happen and there are no question marks. There is such a high level in the entire squad, so it does not change much that fresh forces come in \u2013 everyone gives a fine performance. <\/span><\/p>\n

– The victory is well deserved and now it’s a fun trip home from Skive, said captain S\u00f8ren Ils\u00f8e after the victory.<\/span><\/p>\n

Joey Gudjonsson sends praise to the entire squad <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

– Of course I am satisfied today, because we won. The trip to Skive is always difficult. Even though they had watered the pitch before the game, it was bone dry. This makes it difficult to set the game. I’m very happy with how we controlled the game, how we pressed them and how we got behind them. When we had time, we were patient, so there were a lot of good things in the game today. <\/span><\/p>\n

“Even when we made changes and new players came on the field, they followed our gameplan and did exactly the same. It was really good. The team worked really hard and were aggressive. It wasn’t perfect defensively, so we have to continue working on that so we can defend our goals a little better. <\/span><\/p>\n

– A lot of positive things and the right attitude, the whole team showed. It was really good to see that four new players came in and nothing changed – they picked up where the others left off. We got better because we got new energy on the pitch. They got a goal and it was a bit sloppy,” said head coach Joey Gudjonsson. <\/span><\/p>\n
