AB Gladsaxe meets B.93 in the 2nd round of the Oddset Cup tomorrow Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 6:00 PM at Gladsaxe Stadium. B.93 currently plays in Betinia Liga and AB as we know in CampoBet 2nd Division, so it will be exciting to see where AB stands when facing a team from a higher level. The last time AB and B.93 met was in the 2nd Division at Østerbro Stadium on June 2, 2023, where the match ended 3-3.

B.93 occupies 6th place in Betinia Liga with 11 points and most recently won 2-1 away against league leaders Horsens. In the first round of the Oddset Cup, B93 won 10-0 over Aalholm IF.

AB occupies 3rd place in CampoBet 2nd Division with 12 points. AB needs to ride the wave of victory with wins in the last two matches against Vendsyssel and Næstved. In the first round of the Oddset Cup, AB won 3-1 against FC Rudersdal.

The match referee is Simon Duerlund Rasmussen and on the sidelines he has Amir Sabic and Simon Blond.

Head coach Joey Gudjonsson demands high energy and aggression: “We have of course looked at B.93, and it’s a good team. They like to play with short passes and want to play football, so they actually resemble Næstved quite a lot. We will play our own game and make it difficult for them to play their game. They have technically good players and they don’t play with long passes.

It takes good energy to match them, and we need to take their weapons away from them by being aggressive. We also need to be patient, because when the score is 0-0, we always have the chance to break through. We have good players on the field and also good players coming in from the bench. We have a lot of energy and teamwork on our team. Everyone commits positively, because we definitely want to advance in the cup tournament.

We need to get the match to where we can beat B.93 tomorrow, and we need to do that by playing our own game, pressing them and defending ourselves. We need to find the empty spaces and get behind them. We need to be ourselves, because that’s our best chance to win the match and advance.

We played on Friday and we play again on Friday, so we’re making some changes. We need good legs from players who can press the game and the opponent. We won’t lean back – we want to be really aggressive and there we need players who can run a lot for long periods and sprint a lot – but it’s mostly to maintain the energy on the field”, concludes Joey Gudjonsson.

The winner of tomorrow’s cup match will face Brøndby IF in the next round – a match that both teams probably want to be part of – so: All hands to Gladsaxe Stadium!
