Fremad Amager comes tomorrow Friday, September 26, 2025, to Gladsaxe Stadium where AB Gladsaxe will host them at 7:00 PM. The match referee is Kasper Madsen with Martin Egtved Munch Jørgensen and Ulrik Gøtze as linesmen. None of the teams are affected by suspensions.

Before the match, there are 6 points between the two teams in the table. Fremad Amager is 9th in the table with 9 points, and AB is 2nd with 15 points. This is a position that AB simply needs to maintain until the end of the season next year in June!
CampoBet 2nd division is incredibly tight. From AB in 2nd place, there are only 4 points down to VSK Århus in 7th place, just outside the Top 6.

The last time AB and Fremad Amager met was on May 30 in last season’s promotion playoffs. Fremad Amager was sent back to Amager with a 5-0 defeat. AB’s goalscorers on that occasion were Søren Ilsøe, Casper Grening, Noah Ibsen, and two goals by Noah Engell. Of course, part of the story is that both teams had played out their role in the promotion playoffs and therefore had nothing to play for. Friday’s match will likely be much closer.

Fremad Amager comes to the match with confidence after their good result last weekend against Vendsyssel, where they secured a 2-1 victory at their home ground in Sundby Sports Park. AB must also be full of confidence after their solid 4-0 victory against HIK in Gentofte Sports Park.

We hope that AB shows consistency and follows up the matches against Næstved and HIK with another good performance when Fremad Amager is the opponent. AB has occasionally had a tendency to underperform in matches following major playing and result-wise achievements. This must not happen again!

Adrien Koudelka and the team know what awaits AB: “We’ve had a good training week focusing on preparation for the match against Fremad Amager. We know what to expect. They stand compact and will let us come to them. They wait for the right moment to press. They will be patient, they are physically strong, and they have good quality in their offensive play. So we need to be ready to match them and their game – and we need to bring great energy again. We’re playing at home, so we have good chances to create a good match,” concludes Adrien Koudelka.

Head Coach Joey Gudjonsson highlights the recent good matches: “They got a good result at home against Vendsyssel. They are quite direct in their play. They kick many long balls and have three physically strong players up front. They also have physically strong players in central defense, so they are a physically strong team and we need to be ready for that tomorrow. That being said, I look back at the really good match we played last time at home. I want to see the same performance, same energy, and same character that we showed against Næstved. It was a really good team performance, we pressed really hard, we were brave – yes, we worked hard! We showed quality by also scoring several goals – as we did in the last match against HIK. It was an incredible team performance. It’s really good that we have strong players up front, but we need to build up play in the right areas. We need to take control of the match, show attitude, and put a lot of energy and sense into the game.

I can’t believe that Fremad Amager is satisfied with their position in the table. They will certainly want to move up, so they will be very motivated and put in a lot of energy early in the match. We obviously need to match that, but at the same time, we need to be smart with our ball possession and in how we exploit the areas where we can hurt them.

As a starting point, we always want to win – but I think now we also need to show continuity and stability. We have good results and performances behind us, the team is in good physical condition, we’re constantly moving forward, and we’re positive in everything we do. At the same time, we need to be smart and be able to dominate and not give anything away to win the match.

We have discussed the fluctuating results we’ve had. We’ve come to the conclusion that it’s a mental thing. We play in the 2nd division and it’s a very difficult league to play in. There are many physically strong players and many well-organized teams. The division is equal, so everyone is hunting for points. We need to ensure that we’re ready for everything teams throw at us. I really believe that when we play at our best, when we press high, put great energy into the match – then we’re unstoppable,” concludes Joey Gudjonsson.
