In the 3rd training match leading up to the resumption of the tournament, AB Gladsaxe will face Hvidovre IF at Valby Idrætspark tomorrow, Monday, February 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM.

During the winter break, Hvidovre IF is at the top of the Betinia League, occupying 4th place in the standings.

It is a physically demanding time for the players, so some players will be rested for this match.

Nevertheless, it will be exciting to see how far AB has come when the team once again measures itself against a team from a higher league. A year ago, AB also faced Hvidovre IF in a winter training match. Here, AB won the match 3-0. The goalscorers were Marco Ramkilde, Casper Grening, and Onesime Tembe.

Hvidovre IF played their 2nd training match of the pre-season yesterday, Saturday. The match was against Halmstad BK from Allsvenskan, which is the top league in Sweden. The match ended 3-2 to Halmstad.

AB drew 3-3 against HB Køge last weekend.

Since AB’s latest training match, 2 new players have joined the squad. They are midfielder Tobias Lykkebak and goalkeeper Michael Stone. Tobias Lykkebak is in the preliminary squad for the match and thus has the opportunity for his first appearance in the green jersey.

Head coach Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson: “We are excited about the 3rd practice match, but there is some illness and some players with strained muscles, so we are sparing some players.

We will play with two teams again tomorrow, and still distribute the minutes among the players. It will be the last match where we do that. Then we will begin to form a picture of how we want to start the season. It will be interesting to see how they will play aggressively 3-4-3 against us and how we stand up against it,” concludes Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson.
