It will be a short half, as the abandoned match against Ishøj on August 2nd only lasted 14 minutes when the referee correctly called off the game. What impact the shorter playing time will have is hard to say, but it’s the same for both teams.

After the abandoned match, Ishøj IF drew 1-1 against Fremad Amager and lost at home to FC Roskilde 2-1. AB Gladsaxe lost to FC Helsingør 2-1 and won against Brabrand 2-1.

Referee Niclas Gomes, who officiated the first 14 minutes of the abandoned match, will also blow the whistle to start the game at 6:30 PM at Ishøj Sports Recreation Center, Vejledalen 17. On the lines, there’s also a re-appointment for linesman Sidsel Fabricius Dall, while Iman Huseen Umar takes over the other linesman position.

There’s free admission to the match, so make the trip to Ishøj – the weather forecast promises brilliant sunshine and dry conditions!

O’Vonte Mullings hopes for further advancement in the table

“It’s exciting whether we can finally get the match finished. I’m praying for good weather, which it looks like it will be. Most of all, I’m looking forward to playing another match and hope we can get points and push ourselves a bit higher up the table. I always want to win, especially the away games. The first matches are always difficult, but with the squad of good lads we have, and with the approach and belief in what we’re doing, it should work out. I’ll do everything possible to help the team to a victory,” concludes O’Vonte Mullings.

Head coach Joey Gudjonsson looks forward to a good Wednesday evening

“It might be a slightly different match. We’ve seen how they play, and they’ve seen our game. Everyone knows the game plan a bit better, but there will always be surprises. They might try different things than what we’ve seen, and we might do the same. It’s a midweek match just a few days after the last game. Still, I expect high intensity, especially since the first half won’t last 45 minutes.

We’ve created so many chances and have attacked really well in the matches we’ve played so far. We could have scored more goals, but I can’t ask the players to do more. All the hard work they put into every single match to get into the right positions – yes, they definitely do that really well. The intensity in our pressing game – how we press up and how we defend – has been good – we just need to put it together better so the goals come too. If we do the right things again and again as a team, then the results should be there. We’ll take the energy from the opponent, and eventually quality will shine through. The sun is shining and it will be a lovely Wednesday evening for all of us,” concludes Joey Gudjonsson.
