AB Gladsaxe’s match today against Ishøj IF in Ishøj Sports and Leisure Center unfortunately had to be interrupted and later completely cancelled.
The match started in heavy rain, but only about 15 minutes were played still in heavy rain and even with thunder and lightning. The referee postponed the match for about 20 minutes, after which he decided to cancel the match completely with the score 0-0. In addition to lightning and thunder, the heavy rain had also put the track under water.

Seen through the heavy rain, AB got off to a good start and clearly had most of the play in the 15 minutes played. There was a run-up to goals for AB and there were also a couple of corner kicks.

Head coach Joey Gudjonsson was of course annoyed that the opening match was cancelled: “We knew that the weather forecast predicted rain, but the game had just started, then the first drop came.
It was the right decision to cancel the match. Ishøj didn’t want to play and we didn’t want to play, because it
was simply dangerous both because of lightning and thunder and because the pitch was filled with water,” said
Joey Gudjonsson.

AB is now starting to find a new date for the match.
