AB Gladsaxe plays tomorrow Friday, September 12, 2025 at 7:00 PM against FC Roskilde at Roskilde Idrætspark. FC Roskilde were relegated last season and are currently 5th with 10 points. AB is in 3rd place with 12 points. It’s an unusually tight top in CampoBet 2nd Division, where there are only four points between 1st and 7th place.
The referee for the 7th round match is Kasper Madsen with Danny Kolding and Gustav Qwist Olsen as linesmen.

Back in 2024, the two teams met in Roskilde on April 19, where the match ended 1-1, and it was AB’s former striker Tim Freriks who equalized. On May 24, FC Roskilde came to Gladsaxe Stadium, and the result was 3-3. AB’s goals were scored by Flamur Dzelili, Christian Wagner and Emiliano Gomez, all three of whom have played for AB.

FC Roskilde’s latest match ended 1-1 at home against Skive, while AB, as we know, won 3-0 at home against Næstved. All goals were scored in the second half by O’Vonte Mullings (72′) and Noah Engell (82′) and (92′) – it was twenty golden minutes! AB must follow up on the recent victories against Vendsyssel and Næstved and the good performance against B.93.

Ægir Jarl Jónasson hopes AB can continue the good rhythm: “We are now focused on the league and have put the cup tournament behind us. It was obviously disappointing because we wanted to advance, so it was a bit bitter – but now we’re ready for the match against Roskilde.

It will be a good match for us tomorrow, and I hope we can continue the good rhythm we have and take the 3 points against Roskilde. I think it will be a physical match with many duels, but I’m confident we can match them on those points. If we do the things we’ve done in recent matches and stay on our toes, then I know we can match them.
Roskilde is a good team and they’re doing well in the league. So we need to focus on ourselves, our qualities and the things that have given us results”, concludes Ægir Jarl Jónasson.

Head coach Joey Gudjonsson believes AB has the quality to match Roskilde: “I think we can follow up on the recent results and performances in the league. We can also be proud of the performance on Tuesday in the cup match. We did many good things, and I think we deserved to advance. Most importantly now is that we can look back on a really good match where everyone worked hard and did their best for AB.

We have since focused on the match against Roskilde tomorrow. We’re going there to continue the good runs and good performances we’ve created in recent matches. The foundation for us will always be that we must play as a team – then we can take the three points. Roskilde has several good players, and if we give them time and space, they can create chances. They have technically good football players, so we need to play at our best. I don’t think we need to be perfect, but we need to do all the things we’ve succeeded with in recent matches. We also need to be patient at times and we need to stand firm in our defensive duties. We need to press with intensity and we need to control the match even though we’re playing away.

We’ve rotated a bit around the team, and that benefits us now. Everyone in the squad for the match is ready and we believe everyone can play a big role on the team. We’re also rotating a bit on the team tomorrow. Everyone is definitely fresh despite the midweek match, so no matter what Roskilde comes up with, we will match them. We will make a big effort and use lots of energy so we get a good result with us”, concludes Joey Gudjonsson.
