AB Gladsaxe played their third training match on Tuesday evening, when FA2000 visited Skovdiget. The match was completed despite the heavy rain during the afternoon on a good pitch 7. The match ended with a 2-0 victory for AB on goals from Tobias Hageltorn and Osama Murshed.
It was a really good training match against a well-playing FA2000 team, where AB sat on most of the game throughout the match, not least in the 2nd half.
AB’s line-ups
Adam Ingi Benediktsson in goal, in central defence were Noah Ibsen and Adrien Koudelka Gertsen, on left back Marc Dal Hende (captain) and right back Frederik Lindgaard. In midfield, Søren Ilsøe and Mikkel Brund. On the wings O’Vonte Mullings and Casper Grening. At the very front were Noah Engell and Marcus Immersen.
O’Vonte Mullings had to be spared after his injury and got 35 minutes on the pitch and was replaced by Steven Bala.
From the start of the 2nd half, AB lined up with Adam Ingi Benediktsson on goal. In central defender Jeppe Gertsen and Frederik Jørgensen, at left back Noah Poulsen and right back the trial player, who has now played in two games. In midfield, Agust Hlynsson (captain) and Alfred Horup played. On the wings Steven Bala and Osama Murshed.
During the second half, Noah Maale and Jonathan Bragason also came on the field.
Summary
The game started at a high pace, where AB pressed high and played with few and quick touches. They constantly sought to pressure the goalkeeper when he had the ball and often played the ball across the pitch to both sides.
AB got a good chance after just two minutes of play, where a quick pass to Noah Engell was passed on to Casper Grening, who finished well, but FA2000’s goalkeeper saved. Søren Ilsøe found Mikkel Brund shortly after, but his header ended up next to the goal.
A misunderstanding on AB’s part gave FA2000 a golden chance after 20 minutes, where their front striker mistakenly got the ball. He sprinted towards the finish and finished alone in front of Adam Ingi Bendiktsson, who delivered a very good save. Marc Dal Hende also got a chance on a header after a corner kick by Casper Grening, but the ball went over the goal. Just before the break, Noah Engel sent a good shot towards goal, but again past the goal.
The second half continued with the intensive play, where space was quickly created. After 10 minutes, FA2000 made quite a few substitutions.
AB created good play on the edges, the passes were fast and the play was played around the entire field. Agust Hlynsson had a chance to score, but the otherwise really good finish ended up next to the goal.
With about 30 minutes left, AB got a free kick when Tobias Hageltorn was brought down. Agust Hlynsson put the free kick into the box, where the ball eventually ended up with Tobias Hageltorn, who resolutely finished and scored to make it 1-0.
Noah Maale went out on the edge and laid a perfect cross to Osama Murshed, who took a move and scored to make it 2-0, which was the result of the match.
Head coach Joey Gudjonsson was very pleased.”
It was a good game. I think we get shared playing time and everyone gets on the field. The intensity was high in both halves and it was really good. I’m happy with the intensity and attitude. We should have scored in the 1st half, because we had the chances to score. I don’t think FA 2000 had any attacks where they built up chances. Adam probably had a save in the whole game – nothing more was needed.
It’s always good to win games, so in general I’m happy with a lot of things. It was great to see that the team in the 2nd half compared to the last game, they had the energy and gave everything they had.
It’s good to see that Osama Murshed scored and Tobias Hageltorn as well, and the young players did really well. Noah Maale, who has been injured, came on the pitch and did really well.
So a lot of positive things we can take away from the game today, Joey Gudjonsson concludes.
