Akademisk Boldklub A/S has reached an agreement with Helsingborgs IF to sign forward Milan Silva Rasmussen. Silva Rasmussen, 22, has signed a 3.5-year contract running until June 2029.

“I am very pleased with the addition of Milan. He has the ability to change games – and makes our already strong group of offensive players even stronger as we prepare for what’s ahead. All our forwards have unique individual skills and strengths, and each of them can impact games for us in different ways. I expect them all to be important contributors in the spring,” says head coach Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson.

Silva Rasmussen spent the fall season 25/26 on loan at HIK and has scored 10 goals and made 3 assists in 15 league games this season. In his career, he has played 78 league games in the 2nd Division, recording 22 goals and 7 assists.

“We already have a really strong group of forwards, but when you get the chance to add a top player like Milan – with his quality and skills – it makes sense to further strengthen the squad,” says sports director Jen Chang. “With our playing style and the fact that we play with four forwards and place high demands on all of them in terms of pressing, we need a broad and skilled group. There will be plenty of minutes for all of them.”

Silva Rasmussen started his youth career at B93 before moving to HIK in 2023. In February 2024, he transferred to Helsingborgs IF, where he scored 2 goals in 39 appearances in Superettan.

“I am super happy to have become part of AB, as the football AB plays really appeals to me. It’s also a super exciting journey that AB is on, and I’m really glad to be part of that future.

I look forward to meeting the squad and the supporters and can’t wait for the spring season to kick off,” says Silva Rasmussen.
