AB Gladsaxe is aiming for their 6th consecutive victory when they host Brabrand at Gladsaxe Stadium tomorrow, Saturday, October 25, 2025. The match referee Mathias Lykke will blow the whistle to start the game at 2:00 PM, and he will be assisted on the lines by Ulrik Gøtze and Søren Lehmann.
AB has previously had issues with Brabrand’s physical play, often resulting in complicated matches. In their first meeting of the season in August between the two teams, AB secured a narrow victory.
It was AB’s second match of the season and also their first win. AB won the game 2-1 with a goal from O’Vonte Mullings in the first half. The winning goal was scored by Casper Grening in the second half, after Brabrand had equalized. It was a match where AB struggled to control the game, and Brabrand’s physical play meant that the match was largely played on their terms.
Brabrand currently holds the 10th place in the table with 11 points. In their latest match, they secured a 4-0 home victory over VSK Århus. So Brabrand comes into the match against AB with a good dose of optimism.
AB also comes into the match with a victory in their latest game, having beaten Næstved 2-1 in a tough away match. The win means that AB still holds the top spot in the division with 27 points. AB will be without captain Søren Ilsøe, who is serving a suspension. On the other hand, O’Vonte Mullings is back after serving his suspension.
Tobias Damtoft hopes the wave continues:
We need to play the same game we have been playing in recent matches, as it has yielded good results. We are on a really good run and we are just going for it. That doesn’t mean we can take the match against Brabrand lightly. They know what they want, and they can trouble even the best teams. They are a difficult team to play against because they are good at using their physicality, and if you give them space, they can also play good football.
We will do our best to play a good match and also score some goals. We can’t promise anything, but we are all ready to go out and give them our all. There are, of course, expectations of us now that we are number one in the table, but the expectations before the season were also high. It’s not new that there is pressure and expectations on us. We will handle that – we are riding the wave and hope it lasts a long time yet.
Head coach Joey Gudjonsson continues to expect great energy from the players:
We’ve been on a good run with many fine performances. We now have five wins in a row, and the players are working really hard to be able to achieve more wins. Tomorrow is a really good mental test, so we can see if we are able to do the same things. It means nothing who you play against in this division. We have to work hard, because all teams can make it difficult for us.
Tomorrow we are the top team in the division, and we need to play our own game. We want to continue the streak we’re on – so we have to work hard on the training field and carry that into the matches to ensure the performances are there, and then we’ll keep winning games. Our average goals scored is 2.6 per game this season, and in the last few matches, we’ve had a lot of energy in our team. We’ll bring that into the game tomorrow and give our fans a great match at home.
Normally when we come with great energy, work hard and play as a team, we get the three points – I expect that from the players tomorrow as well.
