Akademisk Boldklub A/S has signed forward Marco Ramkilde to a contract extension. Ramkilde, 27, has extended his stay with the club until June 2027.
“Marco is a great talent and I’m so happy that Marco has extended his contract with us,” said head coach Fannar Berg Gunnólfsson. “He has great character and is so important for us on and off the field.”
Ramkilde joined AB in July 2024 after several seasons with AaB. Ramkilde, is an AaB youth academy product who also spent 2 seasons with English championship team QPR between 2020-22 before returning to Aalborg. He has also made appearances with the Danish youth national teams from U16 to U19.
“We’re delighted that Marco wanted to stay,” said Sporting Director Jen Chang. “As we’ve said, we would like to keep the current squad together as long as possible and Marco is a key part of the group and an influential presence.”
Ramkilde has 5 goals and 4 assists in 10 league games for AB this season. During his career at AB, Ramkilde has appeared in 22 games and scored 8 goals and 5 assists.
