A top clash is on the cards when Næstved BK and AB Gladsaxe face off on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 7:00 PM at MTM Service Park. It’s incredibly tight at the top. Before the match, AB sits in 1st place in CampoBet 2nd Division with 24 points. Næstved BK is in 3rd place with 22 points. FC Roskilde is in 2nd place with 23 points. So it’s a very exciting and presumably close match awaiting Friday evening in Næstved. Næstved BK won their latest match on the difficult away ground in Hjørring with a 2-0 victory over Vendsyssel FF. AB also comes to the match with plenty of confidence after their fourth consecutive win was secured with a 4-0 home victory over Skive. The referees for the match are Faruk Iriskic with linesmen Anders Randruo and Martin Egtved Munch Jørgensen.
All teams have met each other once in the first round. So the match against Næstved BK is the first match in the second round of the first phase, which runs until April 2026. When the two last met in early September, it resulted in a 3-0 victory for AB at Gladsaxe Stadium. The three goals were scored by O’Vonte Mullings (72′) and Noah Engell (82′) and (92′). Until O’Vonte Mullings’ goal after 72 minutes, it was a very even match, although Næstved had most of the possession. AB stood very well defensively and the strong pressing throughout the match meant that Næstved became vulnerable in the closing phase of the game. Næstved is one of the division’s best ball-playing teams, so AB must play at the same level as in recent matches when the two top teams meet Friday evening in Næstved.
O’Vonte Mullings is serving his second and final suspension day.
Frederik Lindgaard is looking forward to a good match:
It will be a high-tempo match between two good teams, both of which are in good form with four wins in a row. It will be a good match with a high level and good intensity – so it will be great. We have the same approach to the match as we’ve had in recent games. We know we’re really good when we hit our level. It requires us to be there on intensity and keep the energy up. That’s what we’re going into tomorrow’s match with – and then I’m sure we’ll get the three points.
Head coach Joey Gudjonsson will do everything to keep the streak going
Næstved is a good playing team. We know that Næstved’s coach does a really good job with his team, and it will be a really tough match for us tomorrow. They’re really good, they can press and they can play direct. So we need to be at the top of our game and continue with the things we’ve done so far, which have created the opportunities for us to win four matches in a row. We need to continue working hard and working together as a team, because that will always be the foundation for us to be successful and we’ll take that with us tomorrow. It will be a really exciting match, because both teams want to play. It will also be a good match for the spectators, so we look forward to going to Næstved tomorrow.
We’re heading into the autumn season, where the training pitches are getting a bit heavier now. The players have worked really hard not just this week, but in the last four weeks. They’re willing to work well and hard in training, because we know that what we do in training can and should be carried forward to the matches. We need the same energy tomorrow, because it’s a good place to play. Næstved has a really good hybrid pitch, so there we can really play our game, be aggressive, create chances and score goals.
We will do everything in our power to continue the streak. There are no guarantees, but we go into the match with high energy and great belief that we can continue.
