Tomorrow, Friday, October 10, 2025, AB Gladsaxe will host Skive IK at 7:00 PM at Gladsaxe Stadium. The match referee is Nicki Nordlund Hansen, with Aidin Esmaeli and Søren Lehmann as linesmen.

This is the last match in the first round of the regular season. After this, the matches will reverse, and AB will play the second match against the other teams in the CampoBet 2nd Division.

Before Friday’s match, Skive IK holds 8th place in the CampoBet 2nd Division with 10 points. Most recently, Skive IK drew 1-1 at home at Hancock Arena against Ishøj IF.

AB holds 1st place in the CampoBet 2nd Division with 21 points. FC Roskilde is in 2nd place with 20 points, and Næstved is in 3rd place with 19 points, so it’s incredibly close at the top. Therefore, it would be great to add more points to the tally in the match against Skive.

AB has won the last three matches and has gotten their goal-scoring going – they now have a goal difference of 12-1 in these three matches. AB has O’Vonte Mullings suspended

The last time AB and Skive IK met was on May 18, 2025, at Hancock Arena in Skive. AB won 3-1. AB’s goals on that occasion were scored by Steven Simpson, Mikkel Brund, and Noah Engell.

Marco Vesterholm looks forward to a good match: “I know Skive’s team and their coach well, as I played there for 1½ years. It will be a bit strange to play against them for the first time, but it will also be fun.

I think we’ve laid out a good plan for how to take the three points. We’re continuing with what we’ve been doing in recent weeks. Not just because it works, but also because if we play at our best and do the things we’re good at, I don’t think there’s any team that can stop us.

Skive will probably come with a lot of energy, and they’re likely to be super, super fired up to play. It’s both because they’re playing against the league leaders, and also because they probably remember the last matches we’ve played against each other. They’ve lost, so they’re going to be full of energy to run those extra tough meters they need to close down some spaces for us. We’re prepared for them and for the fact that we need to be patient both with and without the ball,” concludes Marco Vesterholm.

Head coach Joey Gudjonsson wants to continue the winning streak: “I think it will be a good match. It’s Friday night at Gladsaxe Stadium with ‘Oktoberfest’ and free admission for those who live in Gladsaxe Municipality. So I hope many spectators come to the match.

I also hope that we as a team are sufficiently determined and focused in our play so that we can continue the good streak of victories. The players have realized what it takes to get into the winning streak we’re in. It has nothing to do with talent but about working together and running more than the opponent.

We are a team with great energy, and we will press them and make it difficult for any team that plays against us at our stadium. If Skive presses us, we will play around them by finding the free areas because we have patience. We want to create as many good situations as possible that can lead to goal chances because we have good quality up front – and we want to score many goals. From the first to the last minute, we will be energetic and position ourselves high up the pitch and take control of the match.

We need to be physically ready against Skive because they play 5-3-2 with three in midfield and two physically strong players up top. They can play the ball around and are direct in their play, also with long balls, and are good at counter-attacks. We need to be ready for that because they will try to disrupt our play in that way. We need to be attentive to all set pieces, and it’s all very important overall.

They will be very motivated and throw everything at us when they come to Gladsaxe Stadium. All teams will do that when they come to us, either to get the three points or at least ensure that we don’t get them.

Our play and attitude have been fantastic in the last three matches. That’s the platform we’re standing on now, and we will continue to work hard so that we can keep winning the matches.

O’Vonte is suspended, and he’s a really good and strong player. However, I’m sure that whoever comes in instead will work just as hard and fit into the game in the same way. O’Vonte was really unlucky with both yellow cards in the last match. I think he slid into the opponent. It’s like there’s a tendency in this division for two yellow cards to automatically result in a red card. It’s really harsh, especially when we’ve seen what happened in both situations.

There’s nothing we can do about losing ‘O’ for two matches. We will continue to strive to be the team we want to be and play the game we want to play,” concludes Joey Gudjonsson.
