On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, AB Gladsaxe will play the third training match prior to the start of the tournament. The opponent is FA 2000 and the match will be played at Skovdiget at 18:00.
FA 2000 plays in CamatoBet 3rd division and finished nummer seven last season. They two Teams were supposed to play a training match in February 2025, but the match was cancelled due to severe cold and front. That is unlikely to happen on Tuesday unless the rain picks up!
Compared to the last game against Hørsholm-Usserød – which AB won – we must expect a higher level and intensity, as the team has previously shown. It will also be interesting to see how the coaching staff for this match has shuffled the cards and whether a picture emerges of the starting line-up in the first tournament match of the 2025-2026 season.
Emil Mygind, who has just been loaned out from AB to FA 2000, is probably in the squad together with former AB player Simon Holden, who recently signed a contract with FA 2000. Several former AB players can be found in FA 2000 and also the head coach Semere Haile, who has previously worked as a coach in AB.
Head coach Joey Gudjonsson and the entire team work every day for the future:
“It’s a good game for us, then we can also strengthen our physique and so we can continue to work on our game plan and find improvements. We are also working on getting the new players into our game plan. We show them what we stand for and what we want.
We will also use the match to strengthen the relationships between the players, so that the understanding between the players is good.
We have to have high intensity all the time, because it also strengthens the physique. Though we here in the beginning playing against opponents from the 3rd division, it is important that We maintainr Focus and haver the right attitude. We must aim to win every time .
We work every day for the future and not just for the next match – so I wouldbe completely safe if it was tomorrow that we had to play the first match of the tournament.
It’s a continuous process where we’re never perfect. We look much, much further ahead than the first game. We will not only be a team that wins the league, but we will also be a team that, once it is promoted, can compete in a higher league.
So we continue to work on becoming perfect, but complete perfection does not exist – but we can work towards becoming better day by day”, concludes Joey Gudjonsson.
