20-year-old has signed a two-year deal that runs until June 2027.

“Marcus is an exciting young player who, despite limited minutes at senior level, has really made a name for himself and created problems for his opponents. His intensity and willingness to run fits well with the way we want to play, while at the same time he is a young player with plenty of opportunity to develop. I am very much looking forward to working with him in the coming seasons,” says head coach Joey Gudjonsson.

After advancing to the front striker position in the last nine games of the relegation play-off in the 2. In the 24/25 division, Immersen has scored five goals and made one assist in nine games.

“Marcus is a talented striker who has a good size, speed and power.  He has only recently been given a lot of playing time at senior level in the first team in Thisted, but he has already shown that he fits well into the way we want to play and give us even more attacking options. We look forward to getting him here and starting work with him in early July,” says sports director Jen Chang.

Immersen started his youth career at Thisted’s academy. He was promoted to the Thisted senior team in January 2024.

“I am happy and proud that AB has offered me a really good opportunity to be able to develop further as a football player. It is with great humility that I pull the green-white-striped AB shirt over my head, and represent a historic and traditional club. I hope that I can contribute to the club’s big goal with promotion to the 1st division.  I look forward to getting to know my new teammates, the coach and the staff well and settling in well in Copenhagen,” says Marcus Immersen.
