Akademisk Boldklub A/S says goodbye to three players from the first-team squad.

Goalkeeper Albert Gaub-Jakobsen and left-back Rasmus Brodersen both have contracts expiring on June 30, while winger Yushi Yamaya will leave the club by mutual agreement.

In AB, the three players are thanked for a dedicated effort for the club.

– We have made several attempts over the past year to extend both Albert and Rasmus’ contracts, but unfortunately we have not been able to reach an agreement. In relation to Yushi, he wanted to try something new and find a place where he can get more playing time. We wish them all the best of luck in the future and thank them for their hard work,” said sporting director Jen Chang.

– It has really been a pleasure to work with both Raz, Gaub and Yushi. They are all players who give 100% to training every time, and are very well-liked in our locker room. Wherever they land, they will probably settle in very well, and we wish them all the best in their future, says head coach Joey Gudjonsson.

All three players say thank you for their time in AB.
– I will miss playing in front of AB’s fans at Gladsaxe Stadium, which I am proud to have called home for the last 2.5 years, says Albert Gaub-Jakobsen.
– It is important for me to say that I have been very happy and proud to play in AB. I’m grateful for the memories we’ve made together. Also a special thank you to all the fans and people in and around the club for supporting me throughout my time at the club, says Rasmus Brodersen.
– A big thank you to AB, says Yushi Yamaya.
