Akademisk Boldklub A/S has extended the contract with Tobias Hageltorn for another year, so it is now valid until June 2027.
Head coach Joey Gudjonsson is pleased that the club now has paper on the young AB talent until 2027.
“We are happy to have extended with Tobias, and his entry into the first team has really been with a first-class mentality. He is unimpressed with the transition, and the eagerness, intensity and work ethic he delivers is a pleasure to work with,” says Joey Gudjonsson.
18-year-old Tobias Hageltorn was promoted from AB’s U19 team to the first team in July 2024. He has so far played 12 games in the first team in the 2. Division, where he has scored three goals.
The main character himself also sees great potential in his extension.
“I am incredibly proud and happy that AB already wants to extend my contract. I am very happy to be at the club, it is a place I love and where I feel that I am developing both as a football player and as a person,” says Tobias Hageltorn and elaborates:
“It is an honour that the club has confidence in me and sees me as part of their future plans. I am really looking forward to the time ahead and to continue contributing to the team’s development.”
Hageltorn comes from AB’s academy. On AB’s U19 team, he has played 36 games and scored 22 goals.
“We are thrilled that ‘Spacey’ has agreed to a contract extension,” said sporting director Jen Chang.
“He has shown an exceptional work ethic and competitive intensity, and he has already contributed with key actions for the first team. We are very much looking forward to seeing him continue his development and chase playing time.”
Tobias Hageltorn scored in AB’s last match in the 2. Division. Here, “Spacey” was responsible for the winning goal in the game’s injury time, which secured AB a 2-1 victory over top team Aarhus Fremad away from home at Riisvangen Stadium in Aarhus.
